Ellie Kennedy- Conservation Officer

Hi, I'm Ellie and this will be my 2nd year as the Conservation Officer with NWRC and 3rd year as part of the club. I met the NWRC during a public event where they shared information on all the work they do for reptile keeping, public education and conservation efforts and have been hooked since!

I have a BSc in Wildlife Conservation and Ecology and have a background in species conservation and habitat management within the UK and abroad. At a young age my love for animals and the environment grew into the protection of wildlife and conservation work that I do now, shaping my career to become an Ecologist.

I have always had a fascination with reptiles since I was a kid and dreamt of owning some of my own one day. I now have owned reptiles for 5 years and currently have 3 snakes, 1 gecko (and 2 cats) and I am looking to expand my snake collection.

My passion is conservation and thats why I so enjoy this role within the club so I can share my enthusiasm and awareness with our members. If you have any questions about conservation or how you can get involved, let me know!
