What is the North West Reptile Club?

We are a social members' club run by a committee of volunteers' and the members are made up of all levels of

reptile and exotic animal keepers. Whether you're a beginner, an experienced, long term keeper or breeder, or just love to see animals but don't own any yourself, this is the perfect place to share, learn and immerse yourself in all things reptilian. We also have many keepers of amphibians, inverts, tortoise, birds and many more species of animals.

Our Club is here for you, the members, hence us being cold blooded with a warm welcome!

The club was founded with the ethos of Rehome, Conservation and Education. We work hard at the club to follow this ethos and here is how we do it.

Rehome

We have a dedicated rehoming team, that works hard to match animals in need of rehoming with families wanting to adopt animals. The club also gets called out to emergency rescues and we have a group of dedicated foster homes to help in the rehabilitation and rehome of these animals.

Conservation

We work closely with several conservation projects across the Northwest of England, going out to sites to help with maintenance and making donations to support these projects.

Education

At our members meetings, we run regular workshops to help educate new and old keepers on the best animal welfare practices, as well as many other topics. We attend educational events for community groups, such as cubs, scouts, schools etc. We go out to public events, to educate the public on our amazing animals and raise funds to put towards our rehoming and conservation projects.
